Course Requirements – What You’ll Need
To complete the Restricted Instrument Rating, you’ll need to meet the following minimums:
15 hours of dual instruction in an instrument-rated aircraft.
Of these, at least 10 hours must be flown solely by reference to instruments.
20 hours of theoretical knowledge training, which overs a range of essential IR-related subjects.
Theoretical knowledge exams to demonstrate your understanding.
